Kevin Veiga and his spring semester dance students have long awaited for the moment where all their hard work would shine through in the annual event titled "Dancescapes." This semester was an exceptional case, when his students twirled their toes in April for the first time at the Davidson Theater of the Daytona Beach News-Journal Center.

An abundance of colors representing their national flag swirled across the Theatre Center stage as young men and women of the Ballet Folklorico "Zentzontle" roused the audience with their intricate dance steps from regions throughout Mexico. The mid-April, evening performance featured women in traditional dancing costumes with long multilayered skirts, while the men wore button-down shirts of light linen.
